Hot towels being the starting point |
So here's the man who starts by serving hot towels. Making you feel comfortable and ready for that Persian dinner. In comes a drink called Dough(salted yoghurt drink with mint) that cools me down. This candle below almost burned my arm once while i got lost taking snaps.

Complimentary - Rich platter of vegetables, nuts and cheese Traditional yoghurt dip and Olives |
I couldn't stop enjoying that yoghurt dip and the olives were yummy. The breads came hot and crisp and they would quickly refill you with hot ones as they get ready.
All set-menu selections are served with:
- Rich platter of vegetables, nuts and cheese
- Traditional yoghurt dip and fresh baked bread
- Selection of aromatic Iranian rice
- Market fresh whole fruits

Kashk E Bademjan - Special aged cheese curd mixed with grilled eggplant and seasoned with traditional spices
Salad Shirazi - Traditional salad, mixed with cucumbers, red onions, virgin olive oil and lime juice
Esfenaj Nargesi - Seasoned spinach, topped with sautéed onions and fried egg
Out of 3 I ensured I finished the Kashk E bademjan. It tasted a little sweet but surprisingly I loved it. The Esfenaj Nargesi was not bad either.

Baghali Polo - Steamed rice with fava beans and dill
Chelo Polo - White fragrant rice
Chelo Kabab Kubideh - Skewers of minced lamb, with Persian spices and grated onions
Joojeh Kabab Ba Ostokhan - Skewer of marinated chicken on the bone with saffron sauce
Kubideh Ye Joojeh - Skewers of minced chicken breast, onion and saffron
Tikke Masti - Cuts of beef tenderloin marinated with yoghurt, saffron and Persian spices
Kabab Shishlik - Lamb chops, marinated in onion, black pepper, saffron and olive oil
Joojeh Chicken was awesome. I thought it would taste like a typical sheesh tawouk but this was totally different. Tikki Masti was soft, supple and what a nice bite it was. As you can imagine I didn't leave anything on this plate :)

Cherry, Forest Berries and Cassis Smoothie - It's a fruit shake
You could smell and taste the saffron in every sip. Light and refreshing. It was a new taste to me.
But I would always recommend everyone to try their Cherry, Forest Berries and Cassis Smoothie cause that had an aggressive impact on taste. The more sip I took the more I wanted. Very addictive!

Makhloot - Dhs 38 |
Sholeh Zard - Rice pudding flavoured with fine saffron, pistachios, almonds and cinnamon
Ice creams came along with almost all their dessert except for sholeh Zard. These were those ice creams that you would want to eat even when you had a cold. Infact I ordered Sholeh Zard cause i had a cold but I ended up eating both of them. Vermicelli noodles sitting on a persian ice with flowing rose water on top makes Makhloot very special.
Turkish delights that came to us at the end was surprising. Never seen that before. They cut you thin slices of what you choose to have. Loaded with nuts like crazy especially the Strawberry and pistachio delight. Its interesting to give you that experience they bring that delight dragging all across from one corner to the other and shave them for you like shawarmas, simply to maintain their traditions. Good job!
